Eida - Ending ??? 2 - Order

Drago Walsroder silently gazes towards each race representatives’ faces.

These rulers had not voted him to be the culprit.

He then turned his gaze towards Eida’s still body. His body lies face down, and it's difficult to see his face.

“I will surely make a mistake in the future.

When that time comes, Drago, I want you to end my life.”

That is what Eida said to him.
He never expected what he initially thought as a mere joke would become a reality in this way.

The scene of him digging his claw to Eida's back replayed in his mind.
Come to think of it, when he thrusted his claws at Eida, he could see for a brief moment that Eida was smiling.

What could be the meaning behind that smile?

He was trying to keep the truth of this incident to himself.
He was planning to end the meeting just like that, and take it upon himself to bring order to the whole continent.

But now, he realized that it was a role unfit for him, for his hand had already been covered in King Eida’s blood. There would be no meaning for him to take such a role.

He then opened his mouth.

“'Tis I the one who killed King Eida.”

He brings light to this incident through his own lips.

His voice echoed through the now silent throne room.

Explanation

The true culprit of this case was the dragon king, Drago Walsroder.

10 years ago, when Eida was still a just king, Eida asked Drago for a favor.

If in the future Eida ends up choosing the wrong path, he wants Drago to kill him.

Drago thought to himself at that time that it definitely will not happen, and promised him to do it if the time truly comes.

And yet 10 years after that promise, he ended up fulfilling it in the worst way possible.

Eida has lost every shred of kindness he had 10 years ago and had become an evil king lusting for power.

He tried to tear apart the peace agreement he worked so hard to achieve, and is trying to conquer the continent through sheer power.

The one who needs to stop Eida is none other than me, so Drago thought.

And he indeed had stopped him, fulfilling his decade-old promise.

Now then, the real question remains.

What should the rest of kings and queens do with Drago?

What kind of punishment do they think fit for him?
Will they behead him and expose his crime to the world?

Or skewer his body and send it back to the dragon country?

Or maybe shred his flesh to pieces?
Burn his body and throw the ashes to the mountain?

Yes, that sounds great.

Hm…?

Who thought of such a cruel thing, you ask?

What are you saying

Aren’t I always here? Right in front of you, even. Bathed in my own pool of blood.

This man has committed an unforgivable crime.

This man killed me.

This man killed me. This man killed me.

Did you really think

this story would end just like that?

No, not before I conquer the Lispia continent.

And no one, not even you lot, could stop me.

My name is Eida.

I will “save” you all.

The corpse of Eida Loden lets out a sinister laugh.

This was the worst possible future
that Stan Loden had saw with his ability.
