Your Lost Memories
00:20 -Voices-
When I was going to open the door to the throne room, I heard voices coming from inside.
Thinking that father is still talking with one of the race representatives, I stood a little bit further from the door, waiting until they're finished.
Then, I heard someone's groan from the dining hall.
00:30 -Crimson-Smeared Monarch-
Father suddenly came running from the dining hall, with a large amount of blood running down from the wound on his back...
Shocked by such a sight, I stared dumbfoundedly as he passed by.
Looks like he didn’t realize I was there, and kept on running towards the treasury. It's almost like he's running away from something.
If I left him as it is, he might actually die...
Worried, I rushed my foot towards the treasury.
But just before I could reach the treasury door, visions of the future flashed in my head.
The vision showed me a figure of father in the throne room, using some sort of dark and powerful power.
Without helping father first, I then turn around and head towards the dining hall, where the culprit might still be inside.
When I peeked inside the dining hall, I saw King Val standing there.
He was trying to wash away the blood he had on his claw through the water basin.
There was a pool of blood on the floor too.
Surprised by what I saw, I accidentally pressed against the door and made it creak.
King Val quickly glanced towards the door.
Panicked, I tried to get away from the dining hall and fled to the throne room.
Val didn’t try to go after me at all.
After confirming that there were no longer sounds coming from the throne room, I sneakily went inside.
There, I found father’s body lying on the ground. His body had one stab wound on his back, just like what I saw earlier. His breathing had completely stopped.
He’s dead...
Maybe King Val had killed father to stop him from going further into the wrong path.
But, this was something I should’ve done... Even if King Val is truly the culprit who killed him, this was supposed to be my responsibility.
If people know that another race's king killed another king... No, this shouldn’t become a problem bigger than it already is.
I grabbed the Royal Dagger decorated on the wall behind the throne.
I tossed it into the pool of blood, so people will not so easily know who the true culprit is.
Shortly after that, I heard a sound of magic being activated.
